Since opening my new office this week here in beautiful Santa Fe, New Mexico, I've realized that working face-to-face with coaching clients is a new service that I can offer to my clients--whether they live in New Mexico or not!
So, here's my new idea:
On my website, I now have a page dedicated to Santa Fe Coaching Retreats with Nurse Keith! My vision is to offer coaching clients the opportunity to have a wonderful vacation in historic Santa Fe while also engaging in face-to-face coaching with me!
You see, telephone- and video-based coaching are wonderful (and the norm for many coaches and their clients), but sometimes there's no substitute for being together in the same room. So, if you want to take an idea and bring it to fruition quickly, why not come to Santa Fe and work with me one-on-one for several days in a row in order to expedite the process?
Anything in italics on this page is from my website.
A Personalized Retreat With Nurse Keith
When you plan a coaching retreat with me, we'll meet daily in my lovely Santa Fe office (with a view of the picturesque Santa Fe Mountains) for in-person coaching sessions that will move you forward personally and professionally in the direction of your dreams and aspirations. In terms of the "design" of the retreat, this is the plan:
In this context, rather than the usual weekly or bi-weekly coaching calls, we will instead be meeting face to face every day, taking your goals and desires to the next level with personalized attention, thoughtful focus, and positive energy.
Your Santa Fe retreat will be designed by you---with ample input and support from me. It can be as brief as two days or as long as five days. I'll help you find an appropriate and comfortable hotel, and we'll be in touch on a daily basis during your stay to make sure all of your needs and goals are met.And this is how it would work:
If you'd like to come on retreat with a small group of friends interested in coaching with me as a group, the cost of the coaching sessions will be considerably less for each person (and hotel and other expenses can also be shared!)
You will come to Santa Fe, stay in a local hotel, and we'll meet for 1- or 2-hour uplifting and inspiring face-to-face coaching sessions at my office each day. You'll be given "homework" each night, and we'll review the results of that homework at each subsequent session. Our coaching will focus on areas of greatest interest to you, including but not limited to:
- Developing your personal and/or professional vision and mission
- Hands-on assistance with social media and online networking
- Career advancement and career management
- Resume, CV and cover letter development
- Mock interviews
- Entrepreneurial ventures, branding and marketing
- Writing and blogging for fun and/or profit
- Personal health and wellness
- Burnout prevention or recovery
If your family or loved ones come with you, I'll make sure you have all the information you need to keep them entertained and happy while you're meeting with me and doing your homework, including maps, brochures and ideas for fun things to do. You can, of course, also plan some fun for yourself, thus coaching sessions and homework will take up approximately 3 or 4 hours of each day, leaving you plenty of time for fun. (You also have the option of extending your stay beyond our coaching retreat so that you can completely relax!)
While in Santa Fe, you may also engage in one-on-one coaching with my lovely and talented wife, Mary Rives, a Certified Professional Life & Laughter Coach and Certified Laughter Yoga Leader. Working/playing with Mary will help you break through barriers to new heights of happiness and well-being, using laughter and levity as sustainable tools of personal growth and empowerment. What To Expect
Prior to your arrival to Santa Fe, you and I will communicate by email and phone in order to solidify your goals for your personal retreat. You'll be given pre-retreat assignments in order to lay the groundwork for your time with me here in the Southwest, and we'll continue and deepen that work once you arrive.
By the time you leave Santa Fe, you will have created an action plan based on the work we will have done in our coaching sessions together. You'll return home with clear steps for actualizing your plans and moving towards your achievable goals.
Having come to our fair city, it's my commitment to personally ensure that you leave filled with the warmth and goodness of the New Mexican sun, our local authentic cuisine, the clean mountain air, the excellent bodywork available to you, the hot mineral springs, and the wonderful energy of the desert Southwest.About Santa Fe
Santa Fe, the oldest capital city in the United States, is one of the most intriguing cities in the country. With plenty of art, music, dance, natural beauty and a vibrant multicultural zeitgeist, "The City Different" and its northern New Mexico environs are the perfect place to enhance your personal and professional growth while also enjoying the wonders that the high desert has to offer.
With an average of around 300 days of sun per year, Santa Fe is the perfect place to get your share of Vitamin D and sunshine!
At 7,000 feet above sea level, our city can be cold but sunny in winter, and it's a perfect home base for those who want to ski at the local Santa Fe Ski Basin or the more famous ski area in Taos, just 90 minutes north.
In our immediate region, you can visit Indian pueblos and reservations, raft and swim the Rio Grande, ride hot air balloons, stroll the famous galleries on Santa Fe's Canyon Road, and visit Georgia O'Keefe's museum and home. If you want to visit in the fall, you can take in the aspens, crisp air and stunningly sunny days. (For your information, January, February and March are the least pleasant months in terms of weather.)
In summer, Santa Fe is alive with art, free outdoor music and festivals galore, including our annual Indian Market, Spanish Market, and the Sante Fe International Folk Art Market, the largest market of international folk art in the world!
Additionally, as your personal New Mexico "vacation advisor" and "concierge", I'll advise you on where to stay and where to eat local authentic New Mexican food. I'll also suggest places to dance, go sightseeing, swim, go horseback riding, hike, get a massage, have a psychic reading, soak in hot mineral springs, see art, do yoga, sample amazing locally made chocolate, shop and hear live music!Keep It In Mind!
So folks, if this sounds intriguing, feel free to get in touch and let me know you'd like to talk about the possibilities. And please stay tuned, because Kevin Ross (my RN.FM Radio cohost and business partner) and I are cooking up ideas for Santa Fe- and Boulder-based group retreats for nurse entrepreneurs in 2014 and beyond!
Sometimes a little coaching can go a long way, so why not combine a coaching retreat with a Southwest vacation, and write the whole trip off on your taxes as a business expense?
Here's to your success, and the power of the New Mexican sun to melt away your cares and propel in the direction of your dreams!
