Supporting Women's Education on International Women's Day
A timely campaign is underway at Vittana.org, with the goal of raising money to fund educational loans for 100 women in developing countries in honor of International Women's Day. These 100 loans will be awarded to 100 female students.
This statement on their website says it all: "Vittana was founded on the belief that education can change everything. We believe education is the most powerful tool we have in the world, whether to fight global poverty or transform lives. What does education mean to you? For our students, it means opportunity."
Please consider visiting Vitanna.org to read about the campaign or to make a donation to the loan fund.
You can:
Go to the Vitanna students page and choose a student to whom you will make the loan.
Join the Twitter chat at #Vittana4Women on Thursday, March 8th at 10am PST/1pm EST.
Follow @Vittana on Twitter, and "like" Vitanna on Facebook.
Whatever you do in support of International Women's Day, thank you for supporting women the world over.
