For the second year in a row, I am taking a moment to post about The Fresh Air Fund Half-Marathon which occurs in New York on March 21st.
The Fresh Air Fund has been in existence since 1877, and it has helped almost 2 million economically disadvantaged inner-city children enjoy the benefits of a free summer vacation or summer camp experience. The Fresh Air Fund is an important charitable American institution with a stellar reputation for advocacy that brings myriad benefits to deserving children.
The Half-Marathon is an important part of the fundraising strategy employed by The Fresh Air Fund, and interested runners should apply here. If you would simply like to support the FAF, you can do so by clicking here.
Providing summer camps and vacation experiences for inner-city children is only one part of what the FAF actually does. For more information, please visit the Fresh Air Fund main website.
